The exclusive nature of this surface covering is highlighted from the very beginning by its manufacturing process and composition. More than 80 percent of the raw materials used in its production grow back within a few years. As well as linseed oil, these include wood flour and a range of resins. The linseed oil is made from the seeds of the flax plant, whilst the wood flour comes from the upcycling of wood offcuts from controlled forests. During the manufacturing process, a board made from fully recycled wood-based materials is covered all over with linoleum. This enables next125 to achieve its aspiration to create a more environmentally aware kitchen industry and to fulfil both the brand’s and the Schüller Company’s general sustainability goals.
