Linoleum in the kitchen
Discover the benefits of linoleum in the kitchen: Sustainable, stylish and practical
A contemporary material that inspires with its exceptional feel, modern design and impressive properties.
Lacquer, solid wood or wood veneer, decors, ceramic and much more: there are many worktop and kitchen front materials, all with different properties and benefits. Linoleum stands out from them all for its one-of-a-kind combination of a unique consistency, sustainable components and functional features.
An environmentally friendly approach
– thanks to sustainable materials
The exclusive nature of this surface covering is highlighted from the very beginning by its manufacturing process and composition. More than 80 percent of the raw materials used in its production grow back within a few years. As well as linseed oil, these include wood flour and a range of resins. The linseed oil is made from the seeds of the flax plant, whilst the wood flour comes from the upcycling of wood offcuts from controlled forests. During the manufacturing process, a board made from fully recycled wood-based materials is covered all over with linoleum. This enables next125 to achieve its aspiration to create a more environmentally aware kitchen industry and to fulfil both the brand’s and the Schüller Company’s general sustainability goals.
In walnut brown too, the material oozes a subtle elegance.
An atypical texture
– paired with appealing aesthetics
The end product of this environmentally friendly manufacturing process can be showcased in all manner of ways. Starting with its pleasant and elegantly smooth feel under the fingertips, the exceptional texture of this material is totally tantalising. Fully covering the surface with linoleum means that edges and interior and exterior surfaces all look the same. This creates a silky smooth look all round.
With its matt shimmer, the surface material turns heads without being too overpowering. Subtle but striking – the three colour variations at next125 are sure to win you over. Whether in natural grey, charming walnut brown or olive green with its Mediterranean vibes: linoleum and next125 create a perfect symbiosis.

Outstanding properties complete the overall impression
It’s not just the exciting texture and exterior that make linoleum a highlight of any kitchen but also its functional features. Fingerprints are virtually invisible on this supreme surface and by nature the material is anti-static, meaning that hardly any dust settles. As a bacteriostatic surface, robust linoleum is also perfect for people with allergies, and its hygienic properties make it really easy to clean.
