Christmas at next125
Tradition meets opulence in the kitchen
Fine porcelain, tinsel and minimalist design all around – next125 is celebrating Christmas.
The festive period is under way and with it the preparations are in full swing for the festival of love and light: Christmas. At next125 we celebrate it every year with our special tradition of setting up a newly decorated and equipped premium kitchen.
To bring our 2023 Christmas kitchen to life, we chose Berlin content creator Mike Klar (@HerrKlar), whose creative spirit and extrovert charm were to transform the next125 kitchen into a feast for the senses. His challenge was to decorate the kitchen finding a middle ground between the conflicting concepts of minimalism and opulence, and the finished product oozes Christmas glamour.

Tinsel, walnut and stainless steel– side by side in harmony
The kitchen, clad with nx670 walnut with vertical grooves, is illuminated by the recess open shelf unit FRAME and is reflected in the glistening tinsel. The combination of minimalism and contrasting materials gives the kitchen a unique appearance. The nx940 elements made of SensiQ Inox with a stainless steel finish add metallic accents to the work area, whilst the natural colour of the walnut in the living area exudes elegance and warmth.

It is not just the materials that are an important aspect of our Christmas kitchen, but also the personal touches added by Mike Klar. His carefully selected decorative features, including the sparkling tinsel and the top-quality MEISSEN porcelain, create a festive atmosphere that appeals to the senses.
The illuminated plinth around the kitchen island gives the impression it is floating in mid-air, whilst deliberate bright red counterpoints are dotted throughout the kitchen. Red candles in the glimmering Advent wreath, shades of red in the modern painting and the red amaryllis add colourful details that entice the senses.

“Monkey with Pear” – inspired by the sketches of artist Johann Gottlieb Kirchner
The sideboard, creatively adorned with an abstract wall painting by Mike Klar and a choice “Monkey with Pear” figurine from the porcelain manufacturer MEISSEN, catches the eye and creates a perfect trio of modern and culinary art, and exquisite craftsmanship.

The new next125 sideboard with ultragrey glass fronts and English pull-outs adds a touch of opulence to any room. Whether used for storage or decoration, an elegant sideboard is an all-rounder.

The festive table, illuminated by candlelight and decorated with the handmade MEISSEN dinner service Vitruv Graphic, invites you to sit down to an exquisite red berry dessert.
This kitchen design, full of emotions and personal touches, creates a festive atmosphere in which the warmth of Christmas can be felt in every nook and cranny. Here, in the next125 Christmas kitchen, the celebration becomes an experience for all the senses.
